Steve Gore - Personal Profile


Steve has extensive experience gained through a variety of Senior Management/Director and training and development roles held in the international technology private sector. He has a proven track record of delivering tangible results within the areas of leadership, negotiation, customer service, relationship management, organisational change, training, development and personal career management.





Professional Experience

Steve began his career working in sales and marketing, and was quickly promoted to management and then board level directorship because of his communication skills and ability to motivate people and create successful teams. In his career, he has managed the development of Sales,

Administration, Engineering Software Development Teams and Senior Management and Board level Directors all successfully and has a wealth of

knowledge gained from working with many cultures across the world. He has also worked extensively with Unionised Organisations and facilitated relationship meetings, workshops and development program's that have assisted senior executives and union representatives alike to develop strong relationships.

More recently, Steve has been involved in designing and delivering senior level leadership and management development courses across Globally and has worked with organisations such as Rolls-Royce, BP, EDF, Shell Unilever, Astra Zenica and Airbus. As part of these courses, Steve has been involved in one-to-one coaching at all levels, from first time managers to senior executives and has been commended on numerous occasions for his ability to support individuals in their development.


Training/ Coaching Approach and Style

Steve has a very hands-on approach to learning and development and draws on his own real life experiences to reinforce methodology.

He favours a participative and consultative training style, which will give the delegates the opportunity to experiment through exercises, discussions and other activities. By adopting a facilitator role, Steve challenges delegates and encourages them to think for themselves.

As a coach, Steve uses a combination of his 30 years in business as a leader and his knowledge and experience of emotional intelligence to create an environment where individuals are challenged in a way that allows them to develop their own solutions.


Specialist Skills

Steve’s areas of specialisation include sales training, developing leadership skills, interpersonal and communication skills, one-to-one coaching, managing performance, negotiation, team-working, change management, consultancy and solution selling skills. He has run company wide projects on managing performance, personal development planning and organisational cultural change and has acted as a mentor for the Princes Trust, supporting young people starting up their own business. More recently, Steve has worked on a major technical project delivering new technology training to engineers and sales people across thirteen countries via a blend of e-learning and classroom courses, and developed a relationship management course for HR professionals to enable them to contract with senior stakeholders in a successful way..


Factual information

Group Facilitation Designing and delivering bespoke experiential Leadership Skills events using indoor and outdoor methods.

Human Resource Management –Designing a HR Business Partner Development Program for a number of large UK based blue chip organisations that have subsequently been deployed on a global stage.

Management Training Supporting the acquisition and growth of key leadership and management skills for new and/or senior management and business leaders. Including one to one coaching / mentoring at all levels from CEO to First Line Manager.

Communication Skills Specialising in personal and group communication skills, understanding the dynamics of adapting your style to meet the needs of individuals and the use of Emotional Intelligence in negotiation, coaching and influencing.

Behavioural Assessment Assessing competence against behavioural performance standards and promoting self guided performance review through reflective feedback.


KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE–

Working knowledge of the software, and communications industries. Worked in communications for 15 years and software companies for 10

years. Currently Manages his own communications company and splits his time between managing people and training other organisations on

how to work with people. Resulting in a highly pragmatic approach based on current theory and practise.


Over the past 10 years Steve has worked with BP, Rolls-Royce, EDF Energy, Applied Voice and Speech Technologies, Airbus and AXA designing various Leadership, personal development communication courses and delivering them across the globe. He is also part of a faculty that trains subject matter experts such as geophysicist's petrol-chemists and nuclear scientists on how to be trainers and how to pass on their knowledge in a way that engages their audience.
